Visit Bannockburn Heritage Centre
Commemorating King Robert the Bruce's famous victory over a much larger English army at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314 is the interesting exhibition on "the Kingdom of the Scots" as well as an audio-visual show recounting the story of this most vital battle of the Wars of Independence. Outside is a commemorative Rotunda and the Borestone traditionally Bruce's command post - as well as a magnificent statue of the King on his warhorse. Bannockburn Website |
