DRIVE AROUND STIRLING OUT and ABOUT with your CAR from STIRLING Stirling, as a touring centre offers a great variety of local interest. Any one of the four circular routes detailed will give you a range of choices to suit young and old, active and less mobile, in whatever weather you bring with you. NORTH and NORTH-WEST of STIRLING Once you have chosen a particular route, you may wish to find out more about the visitor attractions listed for that circuit. Where available we have given links to websites about these, together with their telephone number. Each circuit represents a leisurely hour or two of driving time. Add to this an hour or more spent visiting an attraction or taking an indicated walk, and you have a programme for a memorable morning or afternoon tour. We hope that you will not try to visit ALL the listed attractions in one half-day trip! Please note that, if undertaking any of the walks, you should wear strong footwear and carry suitable weatherproof clothing. For more adventurous expeditions, you would be wise to obtain a walking guide or large-scale map of the planned route. When venturing off the road, remember to observe the Countryside Code. NOTE: All tours start from the Visitor Information Centre in Dumbarton Road, Stirling
