Depart Stirling at the Craigs roundabout, Route E, talking the Alloa/S Andrews exit and continue along the A905, signed Kincardine Bridge, through Fallin and Throsk. After Dunmore village turn RIGHT ontoB9124 Cowie – signpost The Pineapple NTS. Immediately bear RIGHT by side of lodge and proceed along narrow metalled single-track road to car park. Woodland walks and walled garden with external view of 1761 garden retreat now let as holiday accommodation by the Landmark Trust. Return to main road and turn RIGHT. Continue through Airth and at Bowtrees Roundabout take 2nd exit A905 and continue to Grangemouth. Follow Industry/Stadium signs at roundabouts. Follow signs Newhouse Business Park/Urban Wildlife Centre (UWC) to LEFT and then LEFT into Wood Street (UWC sign). RIGHT into Jupiter/Zeneca Project. A 10-acre wildlife garden, the largest in Scotland. Concentrates on plant life, butterflies, invertebrates and insects. Rangers and visitor centre with all facilities. Retrace route back to A905 and turn LEFT. Beyond
Grangemouth continue on A905 to Grangemouth/Bo’ness and RIGHT to
Bo’ness B904 and follow signs to Heritage Centre Steam Railway.

Railway and Scottish Railway Exhibition with restored line and steam
and diesel engines running a service to Birkhill Fireclay Mine.
Retrace route, A905, to Earls Gate Roundabout and take 1st
exit to Falkirk A904. At
next roundabout, and thereafter, follow signs to Callander
House. Callander House with extensive grounds recently restored – living museum, large play area, picnic tables, coffee house and refreshment kiosk. Return through parkland and flatted development and follow signs to Camelon/Mariner Centre around Falkirk Town Centre to A803 Glasgow. On leaving the built-up area bear LEFT A803 Bonnybridge/Kilsyth and follow signs Antonine Wall/Seabegs Wood/Rough Castle. In Bonnybridge bear LEFT to High Bonnybridge B813. Over canal bridge and RIGHT for Antonine Wall/Seabegs Wood. A stretch of rampart and ditch with military way behind. Roadside parking. Return to canal bridge and turn RIGHT. Turn LEFT for Antonine Wall/Rough Castle through a rather untidy area to a narrow metalled road and then a rough unmade track to car parking area. The best preserved length of rampart and ditch together with the earthworks of a Roman Fort. Retrace route back to Falkirk A803 and at roundabout past the Mariner Centre exit LEFT Stirling/Larbert A9. At next roundabout exit RIGHT for Barbara Davidson Pottery- signposted. A working pottery with showrooms and shop. Continue along A9 towards Stirling. In Plean village turn LEFT and follow signs to Plean Country Park. A wooded estate with colour coded walks of varying lengths. Toilets and picnic tables. Return to A9 and turn LEFT. At Greencornhill Roundabout exit LEFT and follow signs for Bannockburn Heritage Centre (NTS). Displays, audio-visual presentation, tableaux, brass rubbing, shop, parkland, picnic tables. Exit LEFT to return to Stirling. VISITOR ATTRACTIONS
