ST NINIANS CHURCH

Built in 1751, altered in 1937, this church replaced an earlier structure blown up by accident in 1745 when used as an arsenal by the Jacobite army. The 1732 tower still stands, a silent memorial to the last and probably most futile attack on Stirling Castle.

1 mile south of town centre.    Kirk Wynd, St Ninians
