Taxi Code of Practice

For some months the Committee has been working on preparation and the introduction of a Code of Practice and Conduct for the operation of Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles in the Stirling area.

The intention is that those firms which are prepared to sign the relevant Agreement and abide by the Code will be supplied with Stickers to display the fact that they are recommended by the STA.

It is the Committee’s hope that the Members of the Association will support this scheme by using and recommending those firms which have signed up.   A copy of the Agreement and Code are displayed for your information and all Members are asked to advise our Secretary if they find any instances where recommended firms are failing to comply with the Code.   As will be seen, the Agreement provides that any breach noted by a Member will be intimated to the Operator, and if a further breach occurs with the same firm, the Association shall be entitled to withdraw its approval and terminate the Agreement with that particular firm.

A list of those firms which are participating at present is also displayed and will be updated as other firms join.   Do please consult this List regularly.

All taxi firms are familiar with this Scheme and have copies of the Agreement.   If Members have any particular favourite firms, do please encourage them to sign up  - all they have to do is contact the Association’s Chairman: -
